Sage Vyasa, the writer of Mahabharata, wished to give the blind Full (Dhritarashtra) the advantage of vision so that the California king could notice the horrors of the war for which he was responsible.He do not desire to notice the horrors of the battle; but preferred to get the battle document through his charioteer, Sanjaya.Sage Vyasa given the energy of clairvoyance ánd clairvision to Sánjaya.With this power Sanjaya could notice, hear, and recall the events of the past, existing, and potential future.
He was capable to provide an quick replay of thé eye-witness battle report to the sightless King sitting down in the palace. Upon listening to this poor information from Sanjaya, the sightless King loses all hope for triumph by his sons.
